I get asked this question pretty often as a basketball trainer. AAU basketball teams aren’t easy to find in Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Or Pickens.
There really hasn’t been a team directory that makes it easy for parents to do their research on what teams are out there.
But first, let’s call them travel basketball teams. AAU is an organization within travel basketball.
They just have brand dominance. It’s kinda like, Band-Aids. They are just a company, but they dominate the bandage industry.
They dominate so much that we use the company name for the actual industry.
Same with AAU and travel basketball. But, that lesson ain’t why you’re here.
